Promoting professionalism & excellence in the practice of probate law IN TEXAS.
About the Texas College of Probate Law
The TXCPL is a professional organization for probate lawyers in Texas.
The probate process and laws and practices as a probate lawyer in Texas differ substantially from those of other states. This is a function of the size of our state, diverse local judicial practices, and the complexity of our laws.
It is also a function of the range of problems and issues that fall into the probate category. General practitioners are often called on to handle probate matters. Even those who focus on other practice areas, such as family law to criminal law, occasionally handle probate matters. Even experienced probate attorneys run into uncertainties and novel fact patterns.
This is the backdrop for what we do. We strive to help these practitioners to handle probate matters effectively. If you would like to join the TXCPL, please complete the TXCPL membership form and return it to our coordinator.
